About Christina
Hi! I’m Christina McGovern, a visual artist, interior designer, and mother based in Kelowna, BC.
I have always been a creative, experimenting with different mediums my whole life. I started to use my creativity professionally in 2015, becoming a design consultant and obtaining my interior decorating diploma in 2016.
In 2017 I started to hone in on my medium and aesthetic, creating “tapestries on paper”
“Tapestries on Paper emerged from a strong desire to create something that was uniquely mine. The texture and planned perfection of the embroidery element mixed with the softness and natural flow of watercolour is something I find artistically stimulating and continuously inspiring”
I started to see an interest in my art grow and sold my first piece in 2018, launching Christina McGovern Art in 2020.
I now work as an artist part time, with dreams of turning into a full time career.
